Mandatory access to old messages – GIPHY KEYS. The GIF Keyboard Review

To use the app, you must grant it the right to download all of the messages saved on your phone that you sent before installing the app. While I can't think of any reason why access to past messages is necessary for the app to work, I *can* think of a number of reasons why the developers would *want* access to your old messages, and none of them are worth the functionality the app provides.
