Still needs help – Compass Heading- Magnetic Digital Direction Finder Review

I really like this compass for my iPad because it has split view and I can use it side by side with the maps app. It's also dark which is nice for night driving. Although my main problem with it is that I've never been able to make it point north, which makes it pretty much useless. I've tried it with and without my case and still nothing. I really like the idea of this app and I think it has potential.
