Another app that changes your photo to b&w – Photo Recolor Free - Color Splash Effects on Grayscale Image Review

The app operates only in portrait, changes your photo to b&w to start with. There's a "recolor" option for $1.99, but it's unclear what that does. Does it "restore" the photo? Or does it just "let" you recolor it with a single monochrome filter? I'm not finding out. Portrait only, really? If you've a clamshell case for your iPad w/Bluetooth keyboard, that's a pain.
