Goings on--Gotta Update! – Goings On: The New Yorker Review

I love the idea of this app because I love The New Yorker. And I love the stylish look of it: the beautiful visuals grab you as you soon as you open it. But my love dwindles fast after that. First of all "Goings On," if that is indeed what you are, how can we know what's going on if you don't update the dang thing? Why are you still featuring on your cover page Clive Owens in RTC's 2015 production of "Old Times" when it left the building a long time ago? ("Previews begin September 17") Why, when I look at "Goings On Today" today (April 16), do I find the first recommendation is dated March 4? (Ozu festival at Film Forum... Oh yeah, I remember that, it was cool.) What's with the little spinning wheel and "update in progress" sign that goes every time I open the app... But which doesn't actually update? If this app could get its act together and give fresh content every day, then it will be on to something great. Otherwise, stick to the magazine - it's way more reliable, and has wonderful reporting and writing to boot.
