Perfect for my reluctant reader – CVC Words - Word Family Games Review

I homeschool four of my seven kids and for various reasons, one child has really struggled with reading. She's now much older than the typical emerging reader and doesn't want to play on "baby" apps for little kids. It's a daily struggle to get her to practice phonics. Enter the CVC app. She loves this one and asks to use it, which is remarkable with her. Specifically, she likes typing in the words that come up and the matching exercise. I think typing makes her feel more grown-up. There are many ways to practice, though, and an extensive list of word families. It's a perfect complement to Explode the Code and our readers. My kindergartener likes it too, but I had to install it on another device so he gets a chance to play!
