Good But Missing Some Key Features – Spot: explore the best places Review

This app is a great idea. The interface is gorgeous and pretty intuitive, however there are some simple features that could substantially improve this app: - Where do the locals eat? Most of the restaurants listed are "fancy" restaurants. - A space where users can suggest places and post their own photos of the spots would be nice. - Places/areas to walk should be a category in the filters. These can include trails, parks, shopping malls, historic parts of towns or any place where going on a walk is a treat! - The star system is a little unclear. Not sure if it is supposed to reflect popularity, or how much people like a place. - Cities should include places in the nearby surrounding areas as well. So for example include the greater Boston area in addition to just Boston. There are plenty of things to do in Cambridge, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, etc. that are very close, but get excluded in the current system just because they don't have the correct zip code. This would really open up some nice possibilities! Keep up the nice work. I'm not finding much use for the app currently (mainly because I can't afford the fine dining), but I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing updates that will make the app practical for the average person/budget.
