Watch controls phone app if already on – FlashLight LED HD Review

I want to light up my Apple Watch screen for 10 sec to see my keyhole. This is a very nice app, but doesn't do this. You have to have the phone app running to control the phone from the watch. You can't max out the watch screen brightness with it, but have to fumble for your phone and turn on the app. Then why do you need the watch app any more? If the watch app auto-turned on the light on the phone, it would be easy to find the lighted phone and use it as a flashlight. Ads are intrusive on free version.
