Pretty fun, but needs work. – Celestial Assault: Reloaded HD Review
Graphics are very sharp, and the enemies are varied in design. There are a great many levels, so replay-ability is significant. Best of all, however, is the customizable try of the ship: there are a massive number of upgrades you can choose from.
However there are several problems with this game.
- Some updates simply don't work: the homing function for the main gun, as well as the 2 extra gun mounts provided by green shards.
- The two upgrades, aptitude and fortune, are pointless in the long run. You should always get them first, preventing the he players from getting other upgrades, which defeats the purpose a building up a customized ship.
- The enemies with that instant kill beam are so fast that they can spawn, fire, hit the player, and kill the player, all before the player has any possible chance of reacting.
- I have not had a chance to test out nearly all the powers, so I can't share which others are broken.
- charging $ for a ship respec? Really? That's dirty.
All in all, I like the game, but it seems more like a late beta release, than a full polished product.
