Lame App – Countdown. (Event Days Reminder, Timer and Calendar Event Countdown) Review

Had to reinstall x2 to get it to work initially. Wrote developer-no reply. Suspicious of 5 star reviews. App simply displays a countdown, need to open app all the time to see countdown. Lacks instruction on how to customize. Do we really need an app like this?
