Too much of nothing – Shift - Create Custom Filters with Textures, Gradients, and Blends Review

I've had Shift sitting on my iPhone and iPad for several months--maybe over a year--now. Every time I go to it, thinking "Okay, here's a photo project that'll be fun in Shift," half an hour later I'll move on to another app wondering why I keep letting this take up space. The basic categories of filters, colors, and textures make sense. But the presets are exaggerated, even garish. So, by the time you've dialed through all the options and permutations and done your personal adjustments, you might as well have fussed with one of the better full-featured processing apps like the perennially fresh Snapseed or newer Enlight. And, yes, there are theoretically thousands of possibilities with Shift, but if I need a quick-n-easy but adjustable filter, VSCO, Afterlight, and Camera+ are so much more useful--better UI's and aesthetic sense. Finally, the random elements here are just too much. So, this one's coming off my iOS devices.
