No friends full barn – Farm Town - Family Farming Day Review

I see from other review that I'm not the only one who can't add friends? My mom and I play and we have tried everything but the game will not let us, so no gifts and no way to get nails. So that means no expanding the barn, without paying money - that's not fair. I can't even earn enough coins to buy anything. I sell on the board but it asks for things I can't do as I don't have the coin to buy that building yet!! So frustrating
