Not as good as their other games! – Panopticon: Path of Reflections Free Review

I will not be buying this game, even at a discounted price. The story is disjointed and uninteresting to even follow. The mechanics are finicky when trying to acquire and use inventory items. A few times, I was clicking around an area and no response was registering. Upon using a hint, I was taken back to the same area; and when I clicked again, the screen zoomed up. It should not be that tedious to find interactive areas, and it is a nuisance for the general screen area to keep unnecessarily zooming in. The inventory bar is tall in height so you have to keep tapping it to hide it in order to access lower lying items. The HOS are boring word lists with little interactivity, and the puzzles are ridiculously simple. There is no map to let you know if something can be done in a certain location, and you have to move back and forth enough which is a time waster. Unless you bought the "out front" paid version, you have to put up with annoying ads every few minutes disrupting concentration and fluidity of progression. There is no back button so you are taken back a screen or two. The only good remarks are that there is a journal to read the story, and I've had no technical glitches thus far. But the negatives far outweigh the positives, especially with the disruptive, cumbersome game mechanics. I'm disappointed since I've enjoyed most of their other ones. I recommend playing the free trial before purchasing.
