Let me say, first, that none of these players would be invited back to my sheepshead table. For the number of times the partner has sabotaged the picker's attempt at game...it's almost safer to go alone and take your chances. Please change: Partner, when the picker is fishing, cover the lead with your highest trump. Quit sitting on a queen. Partner, lead your highest trump to the picker. Partner, a second lead of the fail suit is suicidal unless the picker's at the end. Opponents, quit sitting on your trump. And take the lead away from the picker.
