This was...interesting – 7 Day Sugar-Free Detox Review

Being that I'm not vegan, nor do I follow a plant-based diet, this has been an interesting week. I was completely unfamiliar with many of the ingredients the recipes called for (hemp seeds, dulse flakes, nutritional yeast...) but was open to try new things. Many of the recipes were terrible, some were okay enough to have again when I am not cleansing. I really didn't like the morning smoothies, too thin and citrusy for me. But, I have found some new ingredients that I will find ways to work into my regular diet, which is great! I found that the grocery lists were inaccurate and the recipe directions were too vague or have errors. By day 3 the headaches were gone and I was really feeling great, I could tell the cleanse was working because I wasn't feeling as 'snacky' and desperate for the next meal. I have lost weight and feel like I really have readjusted my body's cravings/need for sugar. - the grocery list was expensive, I spent about $175 for one week of food from the grocery list, some of which was never called for in a recipe. - if you don't like lemon/lime flavors you won't like the food. - this is a vegan diet: no meat, dairy, animal products whatsoever. This was hard for me to get used to and what I missed the most this week. + the app itself is great, user friendly, easy to use, pretty + the cleanse worked! + I found some new ingredients I will be using in the future
