Useful app but needs fix – KHON2 News - Honolulu HI News Review

This app comes in handy all the time! It alerts me for breaking news and weather alerts! But there is one problem, the notifications in the red circle by the app is not going away. Even though I check in to the app, the notifications won't go away! It's at like 103 right now and I don't want it to grow any more! Please patch this up!!
