Utter Disappointment – The Shadow Sun Review

First off, this game isn't 10 hours. I finished it in six hours. I did all of the side quests, explored every nook and cranny, and still didn't come close to the advertised time length. I paid 99 cents for this awhile back and only just got to playing it in the last few days. Anyway, the story is boring. The world lore is uninteresting, as are the characters. What little voice acting there is is poor. The graphics are not very good considering the long development time The environments are small, bland, and empty. The AI, both partner and enemy, is terrible. They all stand still and do virtually nothing other than spam poison attacks. There's very little to do in this game other than repetitive fetch quests and a lot of backtracking. The environments are all generic and identical to one another. I get that the game takes place in a desert, but come on. Put some life and scenery in the game. Combat is overly simplistic and easy. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. I had moderate hopes for it, but it didn't meet even my lowest expectations. Buy Aralon instead, or Ravensword. They're both way better than this overrated game. It doesn't even have a proper ending. I didn't buy any IAPs, but I doubt those extra missions could save this utter failure of a game. Don't waste your time or money. I wouldn't bother with any games this dev makes in the future.
