Fun Game, But... – European War 3 Review

When I bought this game, I was looking forward to having an enjoyable and possibly educating experience. What I got, instead, was what seemed like a lazy attempt at creating an app, simply to sell. The historical inaccuracies are cringe worthy, the victory conditions are ridiculous and lack of variety between, say, individual campaigns, leaves something to be desired. When I played the Crimean War campaign, I was baffled to find victory could only be achieved through completely occupying and destroying the Ottoman Empire. The game could be vastly improved if some sort of democracy function were included, preventing the experience from turning into simply grinding painfully, all to complete some historically inaccurate goal. In review, European War 3 provides a temporarily distracting and enjoyable pass for when you've got nothing better to do. The incorrect-ness might not bother most gamers, but if you're a history buff such as I, you might want to look elsewhere.
