Ok so after 2 days of looking and researching I have found the answer, this only works with the models that end in a w like the new X8W or X5W not the C or S versions. Otherwise it works by starting app then changing you wifi connection to the quads wifi connection and going back to the app. I do not think it will have berry good range but you can mod it with a clover leaf. Hope this helps everyone, you can forget Syma answering any emails too. They just don't do it for some reason.
