Amazing Core Game, Low Quality Port – DRAGON QUEST V Review

Dragon Quest V is arguably the best game in the Dragon Quest series. Truly an amazing game at its core. That said, this version is lousy at best. Like all the iOS iterations of this series, this is in desperate need of a landscape mode option. That this is even an issue at all still at this point is baffling. The quick save option also appears to not work at all. Unless I’m missing something, the option is grayed out and not functional what-so-ever. And even if I am simply not understanding how it works, that in itself is a problem due to its unintuitive user interface. Just a very sloppy port all around that isn’t mobile friendly. Stick to the DS version if you have that option available to you.
