Microphone not working – Phonics Genius Review

The app is great. My mom is a speech pathologist and she uses this app a lot with her students. However, I am running the latest version of iOS 8 on my iPhone and the microphone won't work with the app even after I flipped the toggle to allow it. My mom's iPad is running on iOS 6 because the app allows her to record with that version. Could you please update the app for iOS 8? Other than that, awesome app!
