Works, a Sort of – OCR Scanner - Images & documents to text Review

The first test of a couple paragraphs of German text from a low resolution scan seemed to work really well, giving far better accuracy than a few other apps that I tried. It appeared to have lost the formatting but emailing it to myself, the formatting returned. However, a second test of longer text in English simply gave nothing. No gibberish, just nothing. Running the same image, still loaded, again still gave nothing but took off another "point" from the available usages. About the business model, if I buy software, I expect to have purchased it to use as needed but this company requires payment for each run of the OCR. If you have many scans to do and unlimited funds, this may be the way to go but not for me. It's rather an absurd way of doing things!
