Molly stuck in tree? – Little Pet Doctor Review

My daughter has rescued all the puppies except the poodle, Molly. They give you a ladder that is too short, doesn't go all the way under the tree and cannot extend. I have tried every conceivable combination of clicks, swipes, etc and cannot figure out how to extend the ladder or move it under the tree. This is definitely a glitch. The nurse who gives you instructions is of no use either. "Oh, poor puppy. Please do help her." Thanks for that. Now, tell me HOW.
