Unusable – techBASIC Review

Don’t get fooled by the intently imprecise description and the general lack of pertinent documentation. This toy is nowhere near usable to develop real apps for iOS. The video on their site is made to make you believe you can design the UI with a graphic editor and that is not the case : all controls must be initiated in code, not unlike last century with AppleSoft Basic on the Apple II. So much for an intensely graphic environment. Plus, how do you want to seriously program with the virtual keyboard ? This seems terribly data acquisition oriented and may be fine for that, but do not think about it to create everyday apps :/
