Unplayable -- 100% crash rate – Civil War: 1864 Gold Review

I want to love this game but can't because I'm unable to play it. After starting the first mission of the Union's second campaign, the app crashed and hasn't successfully loaded since. This was days ago. Very frustrating and I'm on the verge of giving up on it. EDIT: it's been a week without an update and the game won't launch. Really frustrating for a premium app.
