Stopped working with most recent update – powerOne Scientific Calculator - Lite, Free Edition Review

I've been using this without issue for about a year. The most recent update caused this app to stop working. I have an original iPad with 5.1.1OS, the highest supported for the original iPads. I have the paid version of the app. After applying the most recent the update, the splash screen will flash into view and immediately closes the app. I reset my device and the completely wiped the device thinking the app may have been corrupted in memory. After downloading and reinstalling the app, the problem persists. I tried to log an issue for a week, but the developers online reporting form is also crashing on both my iPad and my PC. Very frustrating. I posted this review in hopes that the developer will see it and look into it.
