Good gameplay, zero instruction, slow loads – Ancient Planet Tower Defense HD Review

First off, the gameplay is good. It's just really solid. What's frustrating is that there is no information in the game about how various things work; how much damage do things do? Do overlapping boost towers have additive power? Where exactly is the Target Point when using the death ray? But probably most frustrating is just how long every single thing takes to load. I have an iPad Air – the fastest iPad that exists right now – and between every level, every menu, every screen,… the game has to go through a long load time. Why? Surely something can be optimized, or different decision made, so that simple things like a map level can load fast.
