Good core of a game, but no depth – Super Pixelander Review

Visual style and controls are great. Concept is decent, except that having to show where rocks will enter the screen feels like a band-aid. But there's a complete lack of subtlety and depth to Super Pixelander. No special bonuses or rewards. No features that interact in unpexected ways. There aren't any secondary goals to go for. No strategy whatsoever. When I lose my one life I know exactly what I have to do on my next attempt--and it usually requires a huge amount of luck. That flatness is what made me stop playing. Simple is good, but simplistic is not.
