Best running app ever!

Absolutely love using this. I have been a runner for a long time, but this makes it amazingly fun!

So I am trying to lose some weight but it's hard to get motivated (not gonna lie it's because I'm super lazy) and I had this app on my phone for the longest time. One day I decided to give it a try and now I'm hooked. I walk every day, sometimes multiple times a day, for more than 2 weeks, which is honestly a miracle for me. I actually look forward to walking. This is amazing. Can't give enough praise.

I really, REALLY wanted to give this app 5 stars. It is one of my favorite apps and I use it a LOT. The good: Excellent story missions, lots of great options changing the length of your run, whether you are chased by zombies, whether you want to continue on to the next mission if you finish a mission during a run, etc. Very engaging. Plot lines run from exciting to scary to heart-wrenching. The support team is great, and the programmers are very responsive to user requests for features. The not-so-good: the app continues to have minor, but annoying, technical glitches. New version releases often feel like more like beta tests. The latest iteration of the app, version 5.0, has memory management issues--don't try stopping to take a picture unless you completely close out of the app first, or it will crash and you will lose all your progress. The number of zombie chases is supposedly programmable but really feels pretty random--with the setting at 5 per hour, I will get anywhere from 2 to 10 in an hour of running. All in all, a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it.

This is supposed to be a motivation tool. So after a 32 minute run, I run some more, noticed that the app was silent. I look and the whole mission has restarted. This happens a few times. It is demoralizing. I canceled my subscription. Luckily, I only signed up for one month. If I signed up for one year, I would feel really bad. It is just a tool, why not let people finish a mission by pushing a button if the app crashes. I done want to run the mission over and over again.

HAS NOT WORKED SINCE MAY 2nd, DONT UPGRADE TO 5.0

I had been using this app for almost a year and loved it! I upgraded to the latest version and have not been able to use it since. I have contacted support and based on other reviews I'm hoping they fix it soon. I miss running with this app. I will give it 2 stars and change it to five if the crashing app is fixed.

I went from dreading my workouts to wondering if I could squeeze in a mission over lunch. I can only hope there are more like this to come!

Update Idea! Great app

I love the app and its qualities but I have an update idea. I think you should be able to share a base with your friend like some type of clan-based system to where when you go out on runs you can get not only supplies for you, but also for the base you share with your friends. And, I think you should be able to get the wrenches easier because the only way I get them is by completing story missions. Not all people enjoy the story missions and we shouldn't be forced to do them. (If there's another way to get them I haven't found it yet.)

re-downloading the app fixed my problems. now I'm a legacy member and loving all the new features! I'll be using this a lot more now!
