...and oodles of zombie splatting action!
There so many zombie games out there now to really be great it has to look great. And wow this one nails it. Classic Pinball Style with some seriously beautiful visuals make this one amazing.
The graphics are high quality. Animations run smooth on 4s. Game overall thoroughly entertaining!
A Night & Day Improvement over the previous version's problems! Very Fun Pinball Game!
A Zombie theme is always a winner despite the app, however, touch reaction to flippers is critical. A bit of joy while playing quickly turns into bunch of frustration. Flippers are too close together, the motion of the ball is jerky, the graphics are sparse... It is a good start but needs work. The programmers should study Freeballin' Pinball to see what decent physics can do for a theme like this one.
Pros: • Nice graphics. One of the best in the pinball department • Funny and creative music • Unique obstacles. I like the idea of using the zombie as an obstacle Cons: • Flippers are very weak, often requiring the use of both front flippers just to get the ball going • Ball frequently goes completely through graveyard flipper • Ball occasionally seems to have some other "force" moving it (i.e., not flippers or bumpers) • Random lags • Animation of obstacles (graveyard zombie, eyeballs, tank gunner, acid spill, mushroom cloud, etc.) has poor frame rate. Should be same as that of the ball/flippers (if not better) This app has great potential. Work on the cons and add a few more obstacles/zombies and you've got yourself a classic in waiting!
I love zombies and pinball, so I truly wanted to like this title. Sadly, technical flaws and table layout leave much to be desired. On the plus side, the various interactive objects are quite creative, and the visual design ethic is of a consistently better-than-average quality throughout. The physics of the ball—the single most important factor—and it's interaction with flippers, bumpers, etc. lacks dynamism, and just feels limp and unnatural. The latency between the flipper button being pressed and it's activation is unacceptable, as is the sometimes rugged framerate. The ball also passes straight through the flippers without warning. Despite the effort put forth in the table elements, the layout itself is without the hallmarks of a quality game of pinball. There are no skillshots, multiball, jet bumper clusters, magnets, inlanes, orbits, or ramps. The latter two omissions leave the table completely without flow. Also missing are goals of any kind, which means experienced ballers have precious little meat to sink their teeth into. With some tweaking to the physics model and a healthy bit of table layout alteration, this could be a great compliment to a genre otherwise ruled by one company on iOS. The creativity is here, but I'd humbly suggest the dev grab the Williams collection and/or Zen's more recent tables on 360/PS3 for inspiration and guidance. Here's looking forward to the next update.
I love pinball game, this one needs some work, flippers are very slow responding... Like the zombie, needs more activity.
