Join millions of people supporting scientists at Stanford University, Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and King's College London to help fight coronavirus by identifying:

* How fast the virus is spreading in your area
* High-risk areas in the US
* Who is most at risk, by better understanding symptoms linked to underlying health conditions

You will contribute to advance research on COVID-19 in partnership with leading health researchers globally like TwinsUK, one of the most clinically detailed studies in the world.

This app allows you to help others, but does not give health advice. If you need health advice please visit the CDC website at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

This app has been designed for everyone to report their status not just those who are ill.

It was designed by doctors and scientists at King's College London, Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals and Zoe Global Limited, a health technology company.

In the US the app is being used by the Nurses' Health Study to identify symptoms in active healthcare workers who are treating people with COVID across the country and risking their own health to help us.

In response to recommendations by Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), the app also includes questions for cancer patients and survivors, such as if they are living with cancer, what type of cancer and what treatment they are receiving.

If you would like to help out in this difficult time, then you can. Download the app and share daily your own status, even if you are well. With your help we can understand much better the situation across the nation, how the disease presents itself to different people, and how it progresses.

This is a new virus which the world has never seen before. There are a wide range of symptoms, which differ between people. With your help we can understand better how the disease presents itself depending upon individual factors such as health and age.

No information you share will be used for commercial purposes.

There are two parts to the app:

HEALTH INFORMATION
You will be asked to share some general information, such as your age and some health details, such as whether you have certain diseases.

SYMPTOM TRACKING
We will ask you every day to let us know how you feel, so you can share your symptoms. We will also ask whether you have visited the hospital, what treatment you received there, and whether you have been tested for COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Important work

I am happy to contribute to this study. It only takes 1 minute and I’m done. So little effort helps doctors and researchers understand how to combat covid. Totally worth it.

Meh
GESB

I’d report more often if the app also would display in landscape. Mode. That’s how I set up my iPad at breakfast. When asking about periods, I was surprised you didn’t ask about hysterectomy. It’s not an unusual way for periods to end. I skipped a survey because it asked before COVID versus after COVID questions, well into the disease. It over simplified. Well before COVID I did x, at the beginning I did y, and later I did z.

Very easy to use.

Very easy to use. Only takes 2-3 minutes per day. Only drawback is one person in our family for whom I report is 16 and has received vaccine but there is no way to report this like I report for my husband and I. Now that there is approval for 12+ years to receive a vaccine, there should be a way to report for our teens.

Update please
felicityred-head

I can’t log my vaccine, update so people under 16 can log their vaccine please.

Glad this study exists

Legitimate study, allows me to journal my long Covid symptoms for my own needs as well as to help others.

Annoying new feature
anonymous but well

Recently, the app asks you to answer a series of questions re: whether you’ve ever had COVID. There is no option given to say “no, I’ve never had it.” If it’s not any version of a “yes,” then the only other choice is “unsure,” which leads to a long series of questions about your symptoms. I recognize that you can have asymptomatic COVID, but if you don’t believe you’ve ever had COVID at all, there should be an option to say so.

Glitch in the program

I’ve been using this almost since the start. After setup it takes me less then one minute to respond daily. However, the Long Covid survey does not now let me leave without answering the questions. I have never had Covid. There must be an option to ignore that survey!

STILL no way to put 2nd J&J Dose in your system!
redheadinator

I wrote to y’all a good long time ago, yet there is still no way to add ones’ 2nd J&J dose. What’s up?

Away from home reporting not working
edithosb

This app is quick, easy, and flawless when I am in my home zip code. However, the option to temporarily report for a different location lands me in a blank page with the "Me" icon in the upper right corner. Several attempts all failed.

Design mediocre. Could be better.

App allows unlimited number of test results, but only 2 vaccination shots. What about those of us who got a third shot? And the surveys are frequently poorly designed: either too long, or question foils are too limited — a clear consequence of insufficient pilot testing.
