Category Price Seller Device
Lifestyle Free Zero Motorcycles iPhone, iPad, iPod

The app utilizes your iPhone’s Bluetooth connection to communicate with any 2013 model year or later Zero Motorcycles model.

The Zero App includes a “Demo Mode” that allows you to brows the app and envision what it might be like to use this app with your own Zero. We encourage you to check it out.

With the Zero Motorcycles iPhone App, you can:
- Customize your motorcycle’s performance by adjusting "ECO mode" (2013 model year) or "CUSTOM mode" (2014 model year and later) to set top speed, maximum torque, and deceleration and braking regenerative levels.
- View live data from your motorcycle in a configurable dashboard-like riding screen (options include: torque, battery current, motor temperature, estimated range, and more).
- View detailed battery and performance data from the motorcycle when not in use.
- Get real-time estimates for recharge times of your battery; view battery voltage and total kilowatt-hours used.
- Gather trip statistics, including average watt-hours per mile, cost per mile, money saved vs gasoline, and reduced CO2 emissions vs gas.
- See the latest Zero Motorcycles news and updates through a discrete tracker.

Horrible. Not worth your time
TJN3

Horrible app. I can’t think of anything good to say about this app. Subtracts from the bike experience. Every single time you turn the bike key on or off it freaks the app out. You get multiple messages about loosing connection or asking your permission all over again. Custom ride options don’t stick. Charging AMPs jumps all over so much you can’t tell what it’s really doing. Firmware update fails every single time.

Custom Mode is clunky!
dangr_co

Most of the time custom mode adjustments will not save or apply my changes. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm connected live with Bluetooth or just playing with the settings while not connected. Ex: Open App, go to custom settings and make reasonable changes like 90 MPH, 90 Torque, 0 regen, 100% brake regen. No way to "apply" or "save.". The. Exit and go back in to view & my new settings end up defaulted back to prior. Very occasionally works as expected but I can't figure out the magic steps to save or apply custom changes consistently.

App will not sync my custom settings.

No matter how much I try to adjust my custom settings or if I power on or turn on the bike or whatever this does not sync the settings to my motorcycle @250motomark

Custom mode trouble
Aerochroma

I managed to pair it with my 2021 FX, but the custom settings never stay applied. I’ll set it to my desired settings, and when I leave the menu and come back, it’s back to the default settings. I wish there was an “apply” button that would lock in the custom settings.

Broken
2010GTR

When I start the app it turns to the portrait mode and goes displays a dash screen and I can’t get out of it. I can’t do anything with this app.

Not the Worst not the Best

Basically, this app is a basic EV companion to the Zero Motorcycles before 2020. I find it most useful if I’m trying to see what my battery voltage and voltage balance is (to get a more accurate idea of my SOC) and also to see things that aren’t visible like the temps on the CPU or Motor. The custom drive mode doesn’t always work correctly when I attempt to edit it, a more seamless connection that updates faster would be appreciated there - otherwise, all in all, I can’t really complain about this app. It does exactly what it says it can.

It’s crap
Klaatu1

Rarely connects to the bike. When it does connect, it shows a connection, but the app will not function. Eventually, it says that it lost the connection, despite the fact that the phone shows that it it still connected. I recently had the firmware updated on the bike by a technician, but that did not resolve the problem. I have to travel 120 miles to get the bike serviced, so the app is critical, however it has not functioned properly in over two years. This, and the lack of a nearby dealership, is causing me to drastically lower my opinion (and reviews) of Zero Motorcycles.

will not connect
LeslieWadReLola

tried an android first and now tried an iPhone and neither will connect. Called zero app’s customer service and they couldn’t figure it out either

So cool that you can tune the bike with the app!

Just bought my ZERO - Sync'd right up

Thanks for making it free guys... I think the only extra would be a notification when the battery is at a rider selectable level of charge ("ding" = charge level is 90%).
