Zen Brush Art Book will stop being a paid app on March 10, 2014 (Monday). Starting on March 11 (Tuesday), we plan on continuing its distribution as a free app to allow even more people to see it.

We offer our deepest condolences to everyone who suffered as a consequence of the great east Japan earthquake and tsunami of March 11.
Following this disaster, PSOFT MOBILE started our project to support the affected area. We collected illustrations and words of support to the victims of the disaster, made by professionals and amateurs alike, using our "Zen Brush" iPhone/iPad app. This app is an art book compiling more than 100 art pieces kindly contributed by our users.
The goal of this project is not to profit our company, but rather to support the affected areas. We will regularly publish on our website the results of the support made possible by this project.

Project Details:
PSOFT MOBILE, creator of the apps “AR Missile”, “Zen Brush”, etc. is located in the city of Sendai. Despite this earthquake, bigger than anything we ever experienced, we were blessed by the fact that no one in our team suffered any injury. However, along with the extended interruption of the daily life infrastructure and the repeated discovery of damage due to the earthquake, we felt a strong feeling of anxiety and despair.
Amongst all of this, we became aware that many people were using Zen Brush to create artwork supporting the victims of the earthquake and tsunami and send it using Twitter. Words cannot express how much encouragement these works gave to us who are in the affected area.
In the difficult conditions following the earthquake, we asked ourselves what we could do to help the recovery efforts. We reached the conclusion that by collecting everyone’s works, your messages of support could reach more people, and at the same time, help the recovery by using the proceeds to support the affected areas. This is why we decided to start this project.
This app is one of the results of the above project. PSOFT MOBILE is back on its feet and we hope that releasing this app will provide a helping hand to the recovery efforts, and pray that the victims can recover as soon as possible.

Its great cuz all the proceeds r goin 2 Japan but then again all it shows is pics and if u use zen brush just for drawin and not works of art then u have no intrest like i use mine for drawin and then when i look at these idk what 2 do with them.

What do you need this for except for looking at other art?! I mean, nobody would have use for it. I bought it, yes, bought it for $1 which is not much but I think it is a waste of money. DO NOT BUY unless you want to look at 116 kind of good pictures of art for Japan.

Not good for ANYTHING all you do is look at stupid pictures. I thought this would actually let you draw and the makers of this app should make it clearer that all you can do with this is look at stuff making you wish you had the real thing. Total waste of $1 and I should have used the money to buy angry birds. I hear it was good, and anything would be better than this.

As a cartoonist, I'm a little more (ahem) appreciative of great art. I do admit though, I was bummed when I bought it, thinking it was some advanced version of the original, especially cause it cost me 3 bucks! Anyway, the art is inspiring and neat

I have used zenBrush for some time. I had no idea that it originated in Sendei. I bought this app to help with their cause. It serves it's purpose, but it would be wonderful if we could add our creation to this, showing our support as well. May your city rebuild stronger and more vibrant than before, and may all those that have suffered find peace, love and joy once again.
Inspiring Art Book

Well besides the whole .99 goes to a good cause and the title does say ART BOOK. I got exactly what I wanted. It shows me things that the Zen Brush Drawing program it's associated with can do. One it's for a good cause and two it's for art appreciation. So sorry for the negative comments some have made but next time read the app description.

Got the Zen Brush App and by the way they advertise the "Zen Brush Art Book" I thought that was a cool way to store and display my compositions from the Zen Brush but Instead its a Japanese Support Project for Earthquake Disaster. A great initiative, but by the way the in app purchase was set inside the Zen Brush App with the same name just adding the Art Book it is misleading. Please change the name of this app and the display icon so other buyers will not commit the same mistake I did.
