Upgrade Lost all Progress-No Option for Free 10 min/day

Working Mom99

The recent upgrade lost all the data so I would have to start all over. During times of the year, people are busy and don’t want to continue paying for a subscription so the free 10 minutes was nice to get in a little practice. But that is totally gone. The yearly subscription is much too high and not worth it. Most of the songs you want to play are free on YouTube so I would not recommend the app . Even when I was using it to learn, it jumped too much in skill level between the sessions so you were stuck trying to master the same song for a long time. Don’t waste your money on this app. Goodbye Yousician. Deleting the app and moving on.

Decent

My overall experience using to learn guitar was not terrible but not the best either, they give one vid on how to do something then give a bunch of songs, while this is ok for chords, things like fretting and power chords are not getting enough attention and I feel like it rushes to teach you everything about guitar but not teach you how to do those things. Another thing is the premium, they only give you 20 mins free practice a day and anything beyond that cost extra I feel like I don’t spend enough time learning and ultimately just not fully understand what I just did. I have been using this for a few weeks and i realize I need to find another way to learn guitar. I’d give a 2.5 stars

Great

Good music and great for beginners

Loving it

Tried many different apps and videos. Most are good and I have learned a lot This app is the best because of the immediate feed back Also really fun and challenging ! Easy tuning and you are actually playing songs with a band. Love it

Typical greedy scum

Intertoobers

Used to be able to play without paying. Now there is a time limit per day. Sad.

Good

I like it a lot but the songs are a little bit hard

Different Freq Support

thk-socal

I prefer my guitar tuned to 432hz and although Guitar Tuna supports this, I cannot find a way for Yousician to support the different frequency. It would be great if you could add support for differing tuning frequencies as you have in the tuner application.

GREAT APP FOR LEARNING BASS, but…

LauraJ5

This is a GREAT app for learning bass guitar. I absolutely love it. The instructors are great (I also took some guitar and piano in the app; a true plus is you can learn other instruments for the same price), and the opportunity to play with music tracks of various styles is awesome. With the bass, it’s particularly important to hear music behind you and to play along. I’ve literally had hours of enjoyment. For sheer joy of playing, I can’t recommend this app more. However, I did struggle to play outside the app. There’s no information about how bass players play along with or adapt chord charts; no info about scales or improvising with them (which is what bass players commonly do); no info or training at all on reading standard tab and applying it to a song. So while I LOVE playing with the app and the way it teaches instruments, I wish it would cover this other important info. I’d also love way more jazz tracks and less metal, in a perfect world. But you won’t regret the money you spend. I’ve never learned an instrument so fast in my life.

Look I appreciate the hard work put in to make this app but in my opinion the app is really bad. It’s good at first with plucking and stunning but then you can’t even learn without having to pay for everything. That is why I give it 2 stars.

No

The app just doesn’t work I play the string and it says I’m not playing the correct string . For example it said play 6 string 2nd fret and when I did it said I was wrong. After playing with other strings I played my 5th string 0 fret and it said I played 6 string 2nd fret.
