Clueless
Altmax

The people who made these games have gone out of their way to make puzzles that are particularly clueless. To solve them requires one to make very imaginative leaps of faith.

Bloody pop-up ads!
60 yr old puzzler

I just completed level 4 and have closed over 50 pop-up ads. I understand it’s a free game but for a high quality, challenging game I’d rather pay to buy it. This is not that game. Some, not all, of the logic is a reach for even a regular puzzler. The graphics are elementary, and the journey through the levels and within the levels lacks any scintilla of creativity or drama. The ads alone have run me off this developer’s games.

Had to go to Google when I got stuck on level 2–no option for hints when stuff gets confusing.

Okay but some puzzles are literally impossible
McBirdman

This is tough to review because it's great that the puzzles are hard, but too many are absurdly difficult; wherein the solution is something no rational person would ever come up with, and some puzzles simply are WRONG and could never be solved without the instructions. One I just did gave a hint with colors on a circle and if a color is on the right side, you press the right button on a drawer and if on the left of the circle, you press left. THE SAME COLOR WAS ON BOTH SIDES!!! The solution showed the order to press (e.g LRRL) but there was no correlation between the clue and the solution. I've found a few games by this programmer that have impossible (or wrong) solutions and it's infuriating. You will NOT be able to do all the rooms without buying clues and the clues are expensive and misleading. For $2.99 it says you get "10 rooms" of clues (around $1.99 for 3 rooms & $2.99 for 5 or something). You DON'T get 10 ROOMS of answers, you get 10 ANSWERS! If there are three puzzles in a room, that's it... you used three solutions out of 10. So you could spend $4 to solve two or three rooms! That's ridiculous! Especially since many of the puzzles are so absurdly hard you have no choice but to use them. To get a few good brain-teasers per game with some being just insolvable isn't worth the investment in time & money. Lastly, most "escape the room" games have more items to be picked up and interacted with other pieces to solve puzzles. Lots of stuff to click and do. The games from this dev have maybe one item per room to pick up and the rest is trying to solve over-complicated, static puzzles. While that's not necessarily bad, it's worth knowing if you're looking for the typical escape game. This ain't it.

Disappointed

I can't even make it through level 1 so frustrating.

Tan you = good test of logic and perseverance
Kludgehome

This is by far the easiest of the 9 tan you games I've played to completion thus far. It's a great place to start out if you find other games by the developer difficult and you want a good starting point. Each of the 16 levels only has two or three puzzles and they are challenging but more intuitive then some of the other games. That said, I was really stumped on level 12 and had to try every permutation of the 4 letter code to find the right one Spoiler Alert...mtux. I still don't now how that was derived from the "happy dog" clue with the p's d and g crossed off... Also I think there is a small glitch on level 15. Spoiler Alert: The last letter that the block forms (after you subtract the appropriate colors from the light sequence) should be "H" (so, using the number code from the album, it's a 4) I completed the game in a couple hours total and I've never bought clues on any of the games... which I say only to emphasize that it IS possible, despite negative reviews to the contrary... and also to brag a little :) I'm still working on some of the more difficult puzzles on other games and usually have 2-3 going at the same time so I can start on a new one when I get stumped. If your looking for a good test of logic and perseverance, this developer is a great provider of both!!!
