Brilliant - hands down the best clipboard manager for power users

NorwoodG

I have been using my ipad increasingly more for my work. I am a power-user anda good clipboard manager is a must for my work (on macOS I use Alfred's). iPad's sandboxing meant that each time I needed to copy and keep something I had to switch to the clipboard program then back. This is utterly counterproductive and had been preventing me from moving more of my work to the ipad. Kudos and a big "thank you!" to the developer of Yoink for solving this problem.

Handy and works well

kolepard

This is a very convenient application, and works well. You can use it in slide-over or side-by-side, but I find that I am mostly using it with the extension, which works great. This is a very helpful piece of software, and makes copy/cut/paste far more actually useful than what is built in to iOS 11.

Keyboard isn’t good

Brian Doherty

This app adds a custom keyboard to your iPad, which lets you drag things off the shelf from there. Seems like a good idea, but in practice I just found it annoying. The keyboard appearance is amateurish, and the layout differs from the standard keyboard, messing up your typing habits. The band above the keyboard, holding shelf items, takes up valuable screen space. A waste of $2.99, unfortunately. There are other similar apps out there that let you try before you buy.

Great app

Worthy new sibling to Mac app. Looking forward to addition iCloud sync. Recommend to anyone.

UI design :|

I don’t like the user interface of the app. It looks aged and non-native to iOS 11 design. Please checkout dropped app which is vary similar to yoink. As a mac user I’ll prefer yoink to its competitors but the design is the key problem.

Clipboard text support

joe73354

1. Please improve the text copy paste feature. Like Heapo and paste+. 2. Please add today widget to quickly access. 3. Please add text input box in the input method UI so that we can type stuff into yoink. 4. What’s the URL scheme for this app? 5. Sync with Mac and Windows(hopefully) apps via Dropbox 6. Add option to never delete items

Very cool

navamske

I really like this app, but I would like to see three features added: -- the ability to directly edit a text clipping -- the ability to convert a Rich Text clipping to a plain text clipping -- the ability to concatenate multiple text clippings into one, or to select multiple clippings at the same time

Pretty, pretty cooooool...

...Diese App, I Love the ability with the stacks and also the extra keyboard, it works very fast and easy, I needed a bit to figure the Stack option out, but I finally did. I am really looking forward for the next updates. Dankeschön, gut gemacht Matthias, weiter so! :)

Nice, but no inter-device copying.

NoGoodNick

Its a nice product, though the keyboard is a bit awkward, but I was hoping it would offer inter-devicecopying.

A few quibbles

Spoinlar

Update: The keyboard is still incapable of “typing” into a text entry field, so this app is still useless for me. Original Review: Overall, a decent clipboard manager. It needs a few refinements before it will fit my use-case, however. So that potential buyers (and the developer) know where I’m coming from, my use-case is as follows: I receive emails with client information which I need to track, which I do using a database app (Ninox). I need to copy multiple pieces of information (usually 12+, all short snippets of text like names, city, etc.) from the email in order to enter them into the database. Since the database app doesn’t support slide-over / side-by-side / drag & drop yet, I need to be able to use the custom keyboard to enter the copied data into the requisite fields. Suggestions for improvements: • A “clear all” button to quickly clear everything currently stored. I need to clear the clippings every time I use this workflow, so that I don’t intermingle client info by mistake, and 12+ taps to do that is clunky when it could be done in one or two. • The ability to pick up things from the system clipboard automatically, in addition to drag/drop. It is impossible to select a 2-letter state abbreviation and then drag & drop it into Yoink (or anything else) - I’ve tried nultiple times, & it just doesn’t work. You inevitably just tap the selection handles, not the content. Since the “copy” option comes up automatically when selecting text, this would streamline the operation. • Display of more items at a time in the keyboard. The “buttons” are inordinately large if the only things stored are the length of a zip code. A preference setting to adjust this would be really nice. • The ability to tap a “button” on the keyboard and have it paste or type the contents where the insertion point is, instead of having to drag/drop everything. Not all apps support drag/drop (my primary destination app is a prime example here), and for those that don’t, this app becomes completely useless because you can’t get the data out of it and into where it needs to go. So, to sum up: Overall, it’s a nice app, and it does what it claims to do. It just doesn’t work for my use-case right now.
