A must-have for anyone into yoga!

serpis

What a clever idea! I always wanted to be able practice yoga outside of my classes. This app goes through a full series of timed poses for use at home. This is so much better than flipping through a book of poses.

Namaste!

mogosh

Sweet yoga app with a wealth of attractive photo poses which I prefer to silhouettes or drawings. Touch to flip photos for pretty complete instructions for the pose. I thought having the instructions spoken might be nice but developer explained this would make the app huge and apple don't like that. Anyway using spoken instructions on another app just confused me so maybe better without. I just use the premade sequences but I guess you can make your own and adjust the pose times. Some of the pose names aren't spoken when they come up but dev says an update has already been submitted that should address that and other issues. So it's a little quirky but I think it's the best and should get better.

Not what I expected...

fractaltraveler

In the description, they are vague about having audio guides... There is no voice reading you anything and the announcer only notifies you of a few poses here and there. There must be a way to load some basic audio clips. It's kinda pointless for someone who is learning yoga to stop their pose and click for more information. It ruins the fluidity of the program. Consistent audio at least...please?

What guided audio?

megacole

The description promises "audio guide," which, as mentioned in several reviews already, is extremely erratic. It only prompts you seemingly at random, and there is NO audio guiding you through the poses. There is simply a picture of the pose and a timer (which can be modified), and then the occasional and random name of the pose called out at the beginning. If you have done yoga before, this may be alright, but for a beginner, with no audio description of the poses and how to get into them, this is a BIG waste of money. It is difficult to read about a pose while trying to get into it. Audio guidance would give this app five stars with the other features.

Crashes

Dmroz

This app looks cool, but I am pretty pissed that I spent 4 bucks on something I can't even use. The app just crashes as soon as I open it. Don't you people test these apps before you put them out? Completely unacceptable.

Don't waste your money

This is a waste of money. There are better apps out there

If I'd only read enough of the reviews...

Taijitu

...I'd have read about the crashes. Instead, I get to experience them. It crashes every time I turn the iPhone on its side, trying to find the pose flow view in the samples. Also, being able to select poses for a custom sequence from, say, a working pose flow view, would be far better than selecting them by name from a list which shows English or Sanskrit names inconsistently. I hope the developers read and respond to the reviews - the app needs work, but it can probably be salvaged.

Need to fix bugs

namf

This is a nice app, but there are bugs that need to be fixed before I would recommend paying for it: First of all, there are some stability issues, as it has crashed at random. Simply turning the device on its side causes the program to crash. I also agree with Frances that the custom sequence is the main selling point, but it doesn't work quite right. Adding to and editing your sequence is difficult - in particular, I find re-ordering the sequence to be buggy (you'll make changes, and when you come back to the sequence later, the order has changed). It would be helpful if there were a catalog of all the poses that could be accessed somewhere. You could add them all to a custom sequence, but it would be time-consuming to get to the one you're looking for. And, like I just said, creating and editing the custom sequences is a pain! So, fix the stability and sequencing issues, and this would seriously be a great app. (review for version 1.0)

Crash, crash, and crash again

AppDevel

This app is totally useless. I've already wasted money and way too much time trying to get it to work. But it crashes in the middle of sequences, while you are creating sequences. Point is: I am not wasting anymore time with this by writing a long review. Wish I listened to the other reviewers, its got potential but is currently useless.

Great Application! 03FEB09

Lots of yoga applications and dvds have too much talking and direction..not to mention the music. This application is simple to use and fits my use perfectly! I play my music in the background while I this program times my practice and prompts my poses. This app is a deal at it's regular price. It's a steal now!
