Update locked me out

Kas22782

It’s been several weeks since their last update and I’m still locked out. I use to use this on my iPad. I won’t be suggesting it to others.

After contacting company they get 5 stars

ActiveMatx

I’ve changed my review because the company contacted me to fix my account. This app has a variety of poses and is straight to the point. 5 Stars What happened? I purchased this app years ago and that is a contract. Now, I’m locked out of it unless I pay a monthly subscription. Is this how you treat the people who got you where you are now? I’d like a refund or my app back please. If I restore purchases it says can’t connect to iTunes Store.....

Solid app until update

Huey209

I have been using this app for over 4 years and was very happy with it until the recent update. Even recommended it to many friends, but this update has changed a lot of what I purchased it for originally. I prefer apps to be very user friendly and straight forward, the new version has added features that complicate the apps appearance and functionality. Second, the update was accomplished without consideration for stored data. Not only did the update erase my custom classes, it deleted my log of classes completed. And finally, the developer has decided to charge a subscription on top of the fee that some of us already paid for the app. If you are a new comer to the app, hopefully, you will be spared any further growing pains. Despite my issues with the app developer, it’s still a descent yoga app.

Fixed the app but still prefer the original

Veg39451

The app now works for me, but I find the layout very confusing. Also during the time that I didn’t have it available I found a yoga video free on YouTube that I prefer for my post run stretches. 4 stars for responding to customer complaints. Original review: I’m ready to delete because I can’t handle this app not working for 3 weeks! Ridiculous. I paid once I did not know that later it would change to a subscription service. I lost even my downloaded classes.

New subscription update locked me out

LauraLeeRDH

I had purchased this app 2-3 years ago, used it often and loved it. In March or April of this year after an update, the new subscription format has been put into place, I am no longer able to use what I paid for and I lost the flows I had saved in my studio. No where in my app (another update three days ago) shows that I can opt out to be able to use the app I did purchase. I’m rather disappointed there isnt clear information for those of us who paid for the app already. Hoping to get some help as I sent a message requesting help but have not received a reply.

Another App to actively not update....

5/21. Received email stating the upgrade fixed the app (again). Unfortunately the app is no longer compatible with iOS 9 and I can't download it. Sad to see this play out. Was a great app. Really enjoyed using it. Unfortunately I still can't use it even after paying for it. If you are going to change the payment model create a new app that doesn't screw your current customers. I'll continue to use the app until you brick it or I accidentally update it. Time to find an alternative. 7/4...Update...Not able to update to old app with access.

updated: now a subscription-based yoga app

update review 5/22/18: i was pleasantly surprised by the attention given by the developer to address the problems i was experiencing as a legacy user: my appreciation and thanks to the developer. the restore button did restore my access but only after a few unsuccessful prompts for my AppleID password - and the unsuccessful prompts led me to mistakenly subscribe, which i cancelled by contacting Help from the App store. all is resolved. if you are willing to pay for the subscription service, this is a very good yoga app. update review 5/14/18: i appreciate the reply from the developer but my point is that i bought the app (with $) before the introduction of a subscription fee. after gaiam bought the app, it introduced a subscription fee to access features that had been included with my original purchase. the developer did this without notice. it have been a nice courtesy to be grandfathered as an original buyer instead of being extorted to access features that had been available with my original purchase. do not buy this app. update review 5/3/18: the new owners of the app reintroduced a subscription model without informing early investors - a subscription fee is charged automatically. disappointing and sad. update review 7/23/17: thank you for recognizing early investors and supporters of the app by restoring access to our purchase of programs. original review 7/14/17: "unfortunate demise of what was a good app" the introduction of a costly subscription-based version provides no added features or notable benefits. previous buyers beware: do not upgrade!

Finally the app works!

@ each book

They finally fixed the app, it finally works with my phone and I have access to it as I did before they changed it to monthly. Very happy they did something and got it working! Use it everyday !

Not happy

Kam1234

I purchased this app years ago. It was my all time favorite app. Since updating I’m now paying a subscription fee for classes I already had purchased. Not pleased. I also noticed some differences in the instructions during the classes. Please help me to love this app again. I want my old app back!!

Missing the original app.

1) As a legacy user, I'm once again shut out -- my content is gone, my custom classes are gone, and trying to restore access using the means the company reluctantly provided to original purchasers after switching to a subscriber model, doesn't work. 2) Even if it did work, the new user interface is horribe. Large, meaningless icons and mini-text making it difficult to find what I want, sideways-scrolling through said icons to find something that was a perfectly sensible list before -- and with no way to know visually what's in my paid tier and what is not, tapping around to explore is just one after another 'you can't access that' pop-ups. 3) The increasing presence of merchandise for sale in the app disrupts my experience, too. Deleting this one, and going back to my books. It'll be deeply missed! I loved the yoga routines I was using, and they'd become such a wonderful part of my day.
