YALC allows for up to 8 counters that you can use for just about anything. Allows for the rolling of a die with any number of sides (just a random # generator). Keeps a score history along with undo and redo for those scoring mistakes that can happen. YALC also has a web search built right in, and transforms into a giant robot (nope, not at all).
Scoring happens in one of two (kinda 3) ways. A timer allows you to rack up an amount to be added/subtracted or you can turn off the timer and do it manually. You can also turn the timer all the way down and instantly change the current player's score. Plus you can also just set the score to any arbitrary number you like.
With additional settings like Starting Life and Player Names what more could you possibly need (besides a transforming robot)?
This is by far the BEST free life counter app for any TCG/CCG period. It may even top some of the 99 cent apps. It has support for up to four players, a history function, a RNG for a dice roller, and it allows you to set starting totals for your game. Finally, it allows you to setup a 'home page' for the app that could be a rules reference or a wiki web page related to your game.
It's just awesome, 2 life counters dice and a link to check a rule in mid game. Just an awesome app. I would only say it'd be cool to have more than 2 life trackers ( I play a lot of 3 ways) but I can say that about every other app. This one tops it and it's free!!
Just so what Drkdrkdrkdrkdrk said doesn't mislead anyone, version 1.1 supports up to 8 counters. I do however agree that "It's just awesome".
It's a good app until you realize it has no poison counters. It was made in 2011 yet it has no poison counter, I would understand that if it was made two years ago, but poison has still been around for years so even that wouldn't have been a good excuse!
I find that this app is the best free life manager I've used to date. The support for numerous players topped with custom names for each player is very helpful. I also do approve of the life management process as well. The gui, itself, could possibly look a bit more polished, but I'm certainly not still using this app just because of its looks. Although I've never used poison counters, it would be a nice edition. I would also like some consideration into EDH general damage managment. But, so far, this app is definantly worth using.
