I would happily pay $10 for this, but JWZ gave it to us for free. There are a few bugs, but I have confidence he can fix them. Please add a donate button so myself and other fans can buy you a beer, figuratively.

As of now, my phone finally works correctly - in that it has cows. Docked a point for bugginess. But I'd imagine that will get better.

XScreenSaver is a piece of living history...the code itself may have originated in 1992, but at least one of the graphics hacks ("munch") goes all the way back to 1962. Many of the hacks are based on mathematical principles, displaying striking visuals based on calculations, rather than on bitmapped images (though there are plenty of those kind of hacks as well). And, let's face it, many of the displays are fascinating to look at, and make great graphics demos to show your friends. So you get history, math, AND art, all in one app, for the low, low price of "no money." What a deal! :-)

I'm glad The AppStore Keepers finally let this in. These screensaver demos will mostly be of interest to programmers and math nerds. Being both, I'm fine with that. The best part of this is that it's all open source, so you can get the source code and see how each screensaver works. As someone who's just getting started with OpenGL, I love it. Very cool port, JWZ. Thanks!

Hacks recapitulate the ontology of a wide swath of computer science.

Brings back memories of my first experiences with Linux and that was six years after the first release. I can't wait to show my kids and provide hours of esoteric talk on computer history. I was a JWZ fanboy and I guess I am still. Thanks for releasing this for iOS.
