In X’S AND O’S FOOTBALL, fight your way offensively downfield to score as many touchdowns as you can in four “60-second” quarters. Playing as the coach, quarterback, running backs, and receivers, you’ll have to be at the top of your game to earn every first down. Come up short on fourth down and you’ll be hitting the showers!
As coach, first select the play from your playbook and set your receivers to run a variety of passing and running routes, such as the curl, deep out, and post. Then as quarterback, set your players in position, hike the ball and choose your receiver or hand off the ball. Time your pass carefully to get the ball right into your receiver’s hands, and then control the receiver to run downfield for a touchdown! Once the receiver has the ball, you can slide your finger across the iPhone/iPod touch to control his movement to the goal line! Use your finger to adjust the running direction by moving your finger up and down, and adjust the speed by sliding your finger right and left.

This game is pretty cool. It reminds me of a Bud Bowl game I played back in the day. The best play to choose is the one with the 2 go routes. Just watch the safety and throw to the receiver he leaves uncovered.
My first negative review
Frumius
The game becomes repetitive within a very few minutes. There are only passing plays, there are too few of them and you can't make your own. You never get to play defense. The high scores can't be erased or reset (at least, I can't see how) and they ARE ALREADY FULL-- with a guy named Jesus at the top with an impossibly high score (I hear he was a major football fanatic back in the day). Very lame. The High Score list as it is = very low game rating. I scored a 28, but it didn't dislodge the already-filled-in 28pt high score the game ships with. I want to be able to fill the high score list myself or with my friends, not have it filled with the developers' friend's names. This is unacceptable. Delete city. Take my money and run! This is the only negative review I have given. It's a big Minus.

It's fun an the closest I've found to a real football game, I wish it didn't start the game over when you turn it over and sometimes it doesn't matter where u throw it, it's blocked; but all together it's worth it

Very cool game app for the iphone/ipod touch, it's fun and addictive. Game play is smooth and easy to learn. Would like to see an update with some running plays. Nice game tho!!!
