Exposure Guide locks ISO at ASA 100

HDoan

Completely useless to me. I bought this app just for the exposure guide. I use PhotoBuddy and a few other exposure guide iPhone apps. I figure $.99, I'll try it. What a waste of space. The ISO speed is locked at 100. There is a lock but you can't unlock it. The D-O-F camera database guide is out of date. Where are the inputs for micro 4/3 cameras like the new E-P1 and GH1? And how does it determine DOF without knowing what lens is on it? A 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 75mm will have different results?

Great app but stupid users:/

MacFanBoy2

I dont understand why people who dont know how to operate such a simple (but very useful) software are adding reviews here:/ ISO lock? No lens info? C'mon! Learn about photography, then teach others! For me this app works great! Try it yourself (if you know what DOF mean!!), you will like it:)

User interface and features need work

Exposure recomendations: extensive list and the data looks pretty good but I dislike that it always sets the ISO to 100 and locks it. You cannot change the default. You have to lock in aperture or shutter speed then change the ISO value then lock the ISO back. This is not intuitive. It should at least remember what ISO setting you last used. Depth of Field calculator: aperture setting is only in 1/2 stop imcrements while my lens uses 1/3 stop increments. This can be a big difference with f/1.2 lens (you cannot select that aperture). The distance slider has infinity at both ends. It is difficule to set short distances 2 meters. It appears that only .23 meters, .7 m, and 1.16 m distances are available. Some other programs us a log scale for distance settings so the lower the distance the smaller the increments. Sun/Moon: can't set location and time is only shown in 24 hr format which is not comonly used in the US by civilians. It does not show twilight times. You can change the date.

Other Hyperfocal apps easier

Tried this for hyperfocal calculations. Both DOF Master and Dept of Field Calculator better. Among other things, you can 1) get feet if you want, 2) set the CoC, and 3) set number entries also faster.

Obtuse - needs work but is not getting it.

Check that this app was released over a year ago and no updates. Don't hold your breath that any issues will be fixed or improvements made as suggested in the Description. Most of the functions work but a quick look at these reviews will show you that it is not entirely intuitive. o tap Aperture Value, Shutter Speed or ISO Speed to lock that value o yes, the little speaker in Camera is the sound activated shutter o the camera image in Camera does not take a picture until the camera is still o DOF is done only in meters None of the filters worked on my iPhone 4 with iOS 4.2.1. Crashes occasionally.

Crash!

On iOS 4.0... fail!!

Useless app on iOS4. Crashes and also gets stuck in some modes, Like I clicked camera and won't exit

Jassu123

Use less, need lots of work to make it usable and stable on iOS4. It crashes and gets stuck in some modes like in camera.there is no way to come out of it to go back in app. UI and menus need to be reworked.
