A lot of very inspiring people with great stories here, it's a real community in the making. An app to caht and get to know other people. The totems help and are a fun schtick but I wouldn't say they're really accurate. It's a great idea, to start with a quiz also.

Very risky to not be able to separate ages and base age brackets on “mental age” which says nothing about biological age. Not being able to filter people out leads to unwanted attention from people such as adults on minors which I’m surprised is even allowed. Definitely not my kind of app

This app does not have you even put in your age. They have you take a weird personality quiz and give you a mental age. This means a 15 year old could download this app, create a profile, and their mental age will be 25 and this minor will now be able to chat with, and flirt with adults. I messaged the support chat and asked them how they protect minors. They said the app is 18+ and to report anyone younger. I told them I reported someone on my group chat that was 17. They came back and corrected that the app is 17+. I told them I understood that I was speaking to someone who just works in customer service, but I expressed to them how I feel it is very weird and inappropriate to allow 17 year olds to be on a dating platform with adults. And with no age verification, people who are younger than this can use this app. The support person tried saying that this is not a dating app when the description of the app says multiple times that it is in fact a dating app. The support person eventually told me they would not be talking to me about this subject, I’m guessing since they saw my point and the clear issue with what I was talking about. Basically, this is a new and improved Kik. Where minors can be easily groomed by older people. In my group chat there is a man who looks easily 40 years old and a person as young as 17 (as far as I know). ALSO NOTE: they don’t believe in setting preferences. So as a straight female, I am not able to say I am interested in males. I can not set an age range (since they do not even ask for an age) or location range. The basics of any dating app. Having an inclusive dating app is great and the group chat feature could be good with a lot of tweaks. However, because people are taking this to the extreme, the safety of minors is now on the line.
