Next Generation of a Wonderful App!

wareismike

Xequence 2 is a stellar enhancement to the already super solid Xequence time line based MIDI sequencer. Many of the improvements are under-the-hood, setting a solid foundation for future enhancements, and some are not so obvious on first glance, but deep and powerful once understood. HIGHLY recommended. Even if you do already own Xequence 1.

Unbelievable...

Everything I’ve tried so far has worked very logically and as expected. It’s difficult to imagine how something this complex could be so intuitive. Everything I’ve looked for has been within easy reach, and new features are clearly spelled out in the manual (an absolutely thorough document). I opened it up to try it out (I was previously a version 1 user), and before I blinked I was cutting and pasting pieces and sending MIDI to 4 different synth destinations. Thanks for an EXCELLENT product!

Best Linear Midi Sequencer for iOS, period.

Thardus Kafka

While other apps like Quantum and Atom are also excellent in their specific areas, Xequence 2 is hands down the best all around midi sequencer for linear arrangements, and has a lot of loop based features as well. The developer is very active in the iOS music community and has done a commendable job at listening to feedback and feature requests for Xequence v1. Rather than keep adding IAPs, the app has been rebuilt from the foundation up, and anyone who has spent significant time with the initial app will notice the improved responsiveness, streamlined features and simple but much appreciated new features like: -Importing midi into an existing project -Being able to easily time stretch parts from different sources to match the same tempo - Non-destructive trimming of clips and loops from beginning or end (something that is often surprisingly overlooked.) I could go on, but suffice to say if you do any serious midi editing on your iPhone or iPad, you owe to yourself to check this out. Equally useful paired with AUM or AB3, or as a more robust arrangement tool for Gadget, BM3 or Cubasis.

Game Changing!

A little bit of a learning curve for Xequence newbies like me but the developer has made a very easy to follow, in depth and concise manual. Once you figure it out you’ll be messing with your midi like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve barely scratched the surface of its potential. The possibilities seem endless and I can’t wait to get it all figured out.

Peerless

If you need suchlike (which I found out I did after 20 minutes in it) nothing else comes close.

This is my main space for composing on iOS. It’s a great linear timeline piano roll with lots and lots of little QOL improvements that show the dev really understands some of the challenges of producing audio on iOS. Very well done, thank you!

Problem regarding exporting midi to different apps

Hanzoff11

The app is great. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing problems export midi to different apps. The exported midi seems to be out of sync. I hope this issue will be fix. So it will be compatible to other apps.
