Xcode Academy 101

Polemics Applications presents the Xcode Academy. This is the beginning of a series of apps to teach the beginning programmer how to work with Xcode and Objective C. Our motivation came from buying expensive books and outdated apps. Xcode updates come every other month. Our app is verified for iOS 6 use. Stick with us and you won't be caught flat footed. Programming apps is difficult to begin, there is a critical point of time when new programmers either break through and fly on their own or they quit. Don't give up on your dreams and good luck.

This app will not run on my iPad 1 running ios 5.1.1 - even though description states it will. The app brings up opening screen then immediately crashes. Please fix since this seems like a useful app.

I have been trying to learn Xcode for about 5 years now. I own just about every tutorial application in the App Store and over a hundred books in various formats , iBooks , and printed , but this developer has done a wonderful job of presenting the starting blocks of application programming so that even a struggling newbie such as my self can grasp the concept . I have went through the tutorials , and he shows you step by step what is going on, with lots of arrows and highlighted text to explain what is happening. Most other programs I have downloaded , either leap so far ahead in the learning process that they leave the student hanging and unable to recover or the pictures within the tutorials them selves are so small you need a microscope to read them. I am looking forward to the future additions and to the other applications from this gentlemen . Thank you for your wonderful insight in this matter . RJS PS... I think I can ..I think I can ....

App is undervalued, e.g. it's well worth your time and money if you're trying to learn as a beginner. It has different levels of learning for all skill levels. Overall amazing! Worth $100
