great app. very useful for scorin xc meets.

Scoring inaccurate
Coach49

Great app, very helpful at the finish line especially in a race with no chip timing but scoring is not entirely accurate. App does not take into account a teams 6th and 7th runners displacing runners in other teams top 5 that finish after them. Would be 5 stars with this correction.

Works good
Jeeper53

This will come in handy. As a XC coach I'll no longer have to guess whether or not we won a close meet. I wish you could pre enter the racers names before the race starts. No matter a well thought out app that I am anxious to try out. I hope my fingers are fast enough to enter as the competitors come in. Will take good eye / finger coordination. All in all a very cool app it has a few shortcomings so with a few updates it will get five stars. Will re-evaluate after my first official use this fall.

Useful!

Great app! Would love a feature to separately score boys/girls in the same race.

Great start

App is a start in right direction. We noticed more times than not; the team tally was added incorrectly. 2,5,7,12,15 instead of showing 41 the app showed team score of 47. Bug somewhere??? Smaller team buttons would make scoring 5+ teams easier. Only fits 5 teams on iphone screen without scrolling.

Nice app

I like the combination of the recording of time and place. The scoring seems to work right, though the overall place displayed can be mis-leading (i.e., the numbers won't sum to the score) since this can be different from the scoring place if not all teams have a completed score. - Would like to be able to easily add in a a database of runners based on bib number - ease export to spreadsheet for merging or - allow import of a runner/bib number database - Would like an iPad version that displays more than 5 teams Nice app, thanks. Oct 21, 2011 update Scored and timed the HS district meet with 5 teams. I imported the times to my MacBook using IExplorer to see the SQLite database and FireSQLite to export to Excel for merging runner names based on bib numbers. We used the app on both a Touch and iPad. Worked great and fast.

Gret app. Helps every meet. Wish I could do 2 separate races at once. Ex. Boys and girls

Nice App
trackmanpete

Works well. Would be nice if team names and athlete names were stored so did not have to retype for each meet. Other than that, it seems to work well. Will find out in a couple of weeks.

Very Helpful App
Gibbs140

This app is tremendously helpful--not only as a scoring device, but also as a teaching tool. It was great to be able to keep track of my runners' splits with total ease, and talk through pacing with them later. The latest update, which enables voice recording, is a life-saver! It's next to impossible to call out split times for the runners and simultaneously type in the correct name in the app (much less remember the exact order) especially if the runners are in a pack. This update handily solves that problem. I'd highly recommend this app--5 stars all the way!

Score is Correct
Robert Hussey

October 26, 2013 I can confirm that the scoring is perfectly accurate. The places shown are the raw results, but when scoring you need to take out runners 8+ and all runners whose team had fewer than 5 finishers. When you score it is as if those runners did not finish. Thus any runners who finished after them get a lower scoring place. I tested several scenarios and in each case this app was correct. I gave 5 stars for accuracy and because the e-mail function worked better than I had expected, dropping both team and individual results into nicely formatted tables. It also attached a CSV file for importing into a spreadsheet! On the iPhone 5 I can see 6 teams without scrolling. Ideas to improve: 1. A fast way to undo a mistaken entry. An undo button or a '-' button or even a rigorous shake of the phone with visual confirmation. 2. A short vibrate and a short beep when tapping during the race. 3. Greater visual feedback on a tap. For runners 8+ there is very little feedback. You could show the raw place number at the top? 4. Ability to configure the team colors during setup so the buttons are color coded. Team logos would be cool but probably overkill! ;-) 5. iPad version where the buttons to tap are large-ish squares, but you can get more on the screen. Agree that a phone is easier to carry during a meet. iPad mini? A great app. I can definitely recommend.
