Invasive pop up ads are frustrating and annoying

In the newest Version of this app, sound is not working for live broadcast. It still works for videos pre-loaded, just not live.

While I love the staff at NBC12, especially Andrew Friedan, the ads on this app are too much and u can’t continue using it. I’d be ok if there were the occasional static ad per page. I’ve even learned to tolerate the opening ad (that never changes) but the random, take over your phone with full video and sound is too much. Let us know when your app get to be less intrusive and jarring.
This version of the app is useless

I use voice over to read my screen. With this version of the app, I can’t close the pop up ads because the close button is grayed out. The only way for me to get it to go away is to switch to another app, then switch back. However after reading another asection of the screen, the ad pops up again. It is impossible for me to get through an entire article. This app is unusable for screen reader users.
What happened to the sound?

I no longer can hear live broadcasts, although the video is fine, on my iPad. All other apps including your weather app work. The app on my iPhone works. What is the fix? Deleting and reinstalling hasn’t helped.
