Epic Fail!

The old app had it together. This is a huge disappointment!

Keeps getting worse with each update

This app used to be great...then good, then bad, now terrible. I ditched this for good after the latest update and just use the Yahoo Weather app--which is pretty sweet compared to this steaming pile of ?.

Terrible update

How did they decide to do this upgrade? Seems like everyone has same opinion, someone should be fired for ruining this experience. I deleted mine

Update awful

Looking for another weather app. The update ruined this one. :(

Once good, now not

Updated 4/24/15... The new interface adds more confusion and requirements for user interaction than should be necessary. Why do developers always think they need to make it look better, when they should have just focused on startup speed and stopping crashes. I am so tired of this, it is time to remove the app. I have experimented with a number of the top apps and stumbled across "Storm"... If you like the way NBC12 used to work, but don't anymore... then try this new app. Old Comments Early 2015... Granted, the startup of the app was so unstable it needed an update. Unfortunately, the in your face advertising remains as do the crashes... Ads wouldn't be too bad if there was a $0.99 Ad Free version, but no such luck. Now, the update. I am very depressed at the look and feel of the update. I just do not like it... if I want maps at start now it takes extra effort to do so. Come on guys, set up a user group before you update. I wish the App Store allowed us to rate Zero stars... because that is what it would get.

Love the update

As an iOS user the app seems to be easy to adapt to. Really like how easy it is to navigate between screens and when looking at the week glance how easy it is to get the details by tapping that day. Good job by your web people!

Terrible for iPad

This new version is obviously for a phone and is ridiculous on my iPad. Why it wanted me to update to this is beyond me. Update: for some reason I decided to try the app again and this time it was actually an iPad app, not just a phone app writ large. Upgrading my rating to just 2 stars because of that glitch, however, since most folks will probably never see the optimized version.

Previous Version MUCH better

drbulis

This new version is awful. I do not see any benefit with this new layout. This appears to be a complete new version that makes it extremely difficult to navigate. Just awful.

Return to Original

New version is much more difficult to navigate - and that's just the start of negative aspects. Cannot find one thing better with this update vs. the earlier version.

Latest version cumbersome, buggy

I always appreciate updates to an app as they keep it fresh. However, the most recent update has made the app unnecessarily cumbersome. I liked that the previous version opened directly to radar. Now when the app opens you have a selection of windows you can open first. Even though radar is the first of these window options, you have to select the radar window to open it. If there is a weather alert, the app goes directly to the alert window and opens it. While that isn't a bad thing per se, if a severe storm is imminent, the radar is more important to me than the alert, especially since the alert coverage area is highlighted on the radar. The latest version gives you the option of manually indicating your exact location, meaning you can place the GPS indicator directly onto your house. According to the app this allows the app to show you the weather exactly where you are. That's great! The only problem is that I do not remain permanently in one location. Once you select your "location" the GPS indicator will always show you in that location regardless of your actual location. The app does not seem to be intuitive in that regard. Also, when trying to watch a video, the app immediately crashes. The information on the app is beneficial, no question about that, and the recent update has improved the visual presentation. Functionally though, it needs some work.
