Horrible.

Erased everything I worked on for weeks. I shouldn’t have put my faith in this app.

App not syncing with macbook

I'm not happy that ever since I updated the app on my iphone 6, it's no longer syncing with the online version. This is a problem as I've recently gotten in a very comfortable writing groove, and this slows down my productivity. I've been paying for service for a while but now I may switch to Celtix.

Barely functional

Since switching to an iPad to handle most of my productivity tasks, I’m starting to regret having spent the money on WriterDuet’s full version. This app does NOT meet the standards of a ~$100 product. Most of the time, it won’t connect to the internet. When it is connected and I am writing, there are dozens of frustrating little glitches and bugs when doing very simple, basic tasks, like creating new scene headers or switching between dialogue and action text. The bluetooth keyboard support is laughable and horrifically confusing. I want to support WriterDuet, and the desktop version works brilliantly (so I’ll probably use the service on Safari instead though that approach is not without its issues.) But come on, guys.

No PDF

Tried this program out and wrote a short script. Everything seemed to work out ok but when I went to export to PDF massive fail. Fix this and you guys have a great product.

Are we not going to discuss the cat thing in the app example images?

Please improve landscape view!

This app is SO close to being perfect. The amazing aspects of it are the smart completion of character names and scenes, the easy tap icons to switch between scenes, character, dialogue, etc. My absolute favorite thing about this app is that you can work across all devices by signing in with your email! I tested it and I can work on my iPad Pro, close the file, and open it on my Android phone. Plus it syncs in real time, so if I have them open at the same time and type in one, the other is updating as I go. That blows my mind because of the fact that one is iOS and the other is Android. Not only that but your screenplay can be exported as an .fdx file and opened in FInalDraft! So many great things about Writer Duet. The one and only thing that bothers me is the fact that it’s glitchy in landscape view on both the iPad and my phone. Everything works perfectly in portrait mode, but once you flip it to landscape view (which is the only way anyone will really use it with a keyboard) it gets weird. On my phone the menu bar takes up half the screen so I can’t see my screenplay. On the iPad the menu bar thingy hides whatever notifications pop up on the left. If you guys make it so you can collapse the menu bar that’s on the left and make all the icons you need while writing (scene, dialogue, etc) remain across the top or bottom, this app will be the ultimate screenwriting app. For now it’s three stars because of that. Fix landscape mode and this app is easily a five star or more.

Please make changes

Can you guys add a character list? And it can say their ages and everything? In the next update? Other than that this is awesome!

Hi! I usually don’t write bad reviews, but I’m having an issue, and I can’t get on to support either. I’m on an iPad, and I just finished writing a script, and I can’t download to PDF or share the script. Please help! I also see that the characters names are all caps every time the are in a scene, and the shot comes out underlined. SOS!

One Small Problem

This app is good for screenwriting, but for some reason when I try to save my script as a PDF is says “unable to save PDF”.
