Wormhole Extreme has two modes: Beginner and Advanced. In Beginner mode, the games checks to make sure that your guess is logically consistent with the feedback given, and will warn you if your guess is not optimal.
Also in beginner mode, you have access to MARTIN, the Mobile ARTificial INtelligence. MARTIN will use any feedback given and will determine a guess for you. MARTIN is actually implemented as a real genetic (evolutionary) algorithm.

Fun game, slightly choppy on my iPod Touch

I love the Codebreaker-style game, and the AI is handy for if you get stuck. Definitely worth the free try, and it's only 99 cents to unlock the rest of the game. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars for me is that the animation when you open the wormhole is a little choppy on my iPod Touch and the dials seem a little sticky.

The game was fine until I won and the wormhole "engaged". Then my 3G iPhone froze. Had to do a reset. Using OS 4.0.

As a Stargate fan you have to love this! Very good start, hope there are updates to make it a bit more realistic looking! My only crash comes when I try to enter my name! Other than that, good stuff! Thanks!

This game is fun and plays like the board-game Mastermind. Although the app. needs a bug fix so the "Player" name can be changed. When I try to change the name, it kicks me out of the program. I tried resetting my device (iPod Touch, 3rd gen., current OS), but I'm still having the same problem.

I think its great, but he did NOT mention that all those symbols are so obviously from stargate. He's either a total thief, or figures that it doesn't need to be pointed out. (I'm leaning toward theory #2.) Either way, still a great app, 5*'s! This beats the SG-1 DHD "game"by a ton. Plus, IT'S FREE!!! :D

I am a pretty big fan of sga and sgu and to me the best episode of sg1 is wormhole x, but to cut to the chase this is overall a pretty fun game, the full version is well worth the price. But i never said this game is perfect, for starters there is 36 CHEVRONS not symbols, and instead of 3,4 & 5 chverons dialed it takes 7 cheverons to dial a gate in the galaxy 8 chevorns to dial a different galaxy and 9 cheverons to dial destiny or her sister ships. But if this game was realistic then it would take a super computer to make 3-4 gate addresses a month.

Fun, but constantly crashes. Any time you tap "done" after creating a name it crashes. Doesn't freeze, justs closes and boots you back to home screen on your device.
