You can simply point the camera towards single words to get an instant translation, or take a photo of a sentence/paragraph and have it translate the entire sentence. You can translate from your language to a foreign language as well - without any textual image. Just select the sentence translation, use a random photo, manually enter whatever you want to translate and it'll make the translation. You can even have it speak the translation! More common languages use a human speech, less common languages (Albanian, etc.) use a computer voice. I don't travel very often; but, this is one of those apps that's just great to have on hand -- you never know when you might need to do a quick translation from a foreign language or to help speak with someone that doesn't speak your language.

This is such a great app it helps if you travel often or even if you're cutious about some languages

The app works very well, the translation pop up really fast and it's accurate. The design of the app is clean and simple to use. The bad thing is that you have to pay extra for Chinese language ability
